Protecting yourself
What is good hand hygiene?
Hand hygiene is one of the most important preventive measures to avoid infections. This is how the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), the German government's official advisor on health, describes it. In other words: it is the best thing you can do to prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses.
It is important that you wash your hands frequently in combination with soap and water, and then dry them thoroughly afterwards.

HAND HYGIENE – TIPS AND INSIGHTS
Hand hygiene for young children
Hygiene in primary schools
Educational organisations and unions have introduced strict protocols and tightened hygiene guidelines to ensure that children safely attend their schools. For example, each classroom must be equipped with sanitiser hand gel, soap, paper towels and sanitiser sprays.
We help you make hand hygiene in school easy and accessible. With a specially selected range, you can easily implement the new hygiene guidelines in classrooms and school washrooms.
Hand drying
The most hygienic way to dry your hands
In every washroom you enter you encounter a different form of hand drying, such as hot-air dryers, cotton towels or paper towels.
But which of these methods is the safest and most hygienic way to dry hands?
Several scientific studies prove that hand drying with paper towels is the most hygienic way.
- Bacteria left on the hands after washing are not blown into the room.
- Each paper towel is used only once. This means you do not come into contact with the bacteria of the person who dried their hands before you.
- Paper towels have an abrasive effect, which means that the bacteria left behind are removed and thrown away when the hand is dried with the paper towel.
- The paper towel can also be used to close the water tap if there is no water tap with sensor.
This also prevents you from coming into contact with the bacteria of previous users.
Whitepaper
No waste in washrooms
Paper towels are the most hygienic option, because used towel paper remains in the waste bin. You would like to prevent used towel paper from being disposed of as residual waste. You probably even have corporate goals that include reducing waste. In the circular economy, zero waste is the target.
By participating in a circular recycling concept from BlackSatino, you combine optimal towel drying with circular processes: the used towels become the raw material for new hygiene paper.
Would you like to learn more about how the concept works and whether the cycle can also be launched in your company? Then simply download the e-book here.
